"Without Me" is Chelle Bliss' final book in the Men of Inked Series. In the seventh installment, we meet Anthony Gallo, the oldest sibling of the Gallo family. What we already know of him, is that he's the single, sarcastic, shit talking sidekick of Izzy in the shop and at Sunday dinners. He wants absolutely nothing to do with relationships, and prides himself on the music he makes and the insurmountable amount of pussy that falls in his lap. Then he meets Maxine (Max), and his world is tuned upside down. Max seems the be the female equivalent of Anthony, in the fact that she refuses, any kind of relationship, and this fuels Anthony, as he is determined to be with the woman that he loves.
STORYLINE - 5 BOOKS
I loved this story. I loved it so much, I read it twice. First of all, it had me at Rudy Huxtable...LOL! I knew one of these Gallo boys would be down with the swirl...LOL! All jokes aside, it is really an amazing story. I laughed. I cried. I swooned. (well, nearly) "Without Me" is hilarious, erotic, and heart warming all at the same time.
CHARACTERS - 5 HEARTS
Anthony Gallo, the man, the myth, and the MOUTH! OH THAT MOUTH! (You'll have to wait to wait until the section for me to elaborate on that! As cocky as Anthony is, he wears his heart on his sleeve with Max. Who doesn't LOVE, a character, or real person who does that. Anthony has just the right amount of arrogance and heart. Oh, I just love him.
Maxine, is a tough cookie, sharp as tack, and quick witted. As much as Anthony dealt it out, she would not only match his hand, but would knock down his house of cards. I love that she is not weak or vulnerable. She's strong, but maybe a little too strong for own good. When it's revealed why and how she's come to be this why, she gets a pass....LOL! I love how her character is portrayed, because it reminds me of myself a little. We can all be strong, but scared of the unknown.
What is there not LOVE about the Gallos? They have they hilarious, relatable, and each character/sibling's personality is portrayed exactly the same as they are in their respective books. We get to meet Ruth, Max's mother, who is very hands on with Anthony, and Uncle Earl who is clearly an "ass man". I enjoyed these characters, because they remind me so much of my family. Their antics and their banter were so relatable and enjoyable.
SCENES OF INTIMACY - 5 DRIPPIN' WET PANTIES
OMG! Anthony, so cocksure, literally and figuratively... LOL! And a mouth of the Gods... OH THAT MOUTH. He used it well. Between the slick talking banter, the melodic serenade, and the toe curling multiple O's served by that MOUTH, Anthony's mouth is a character in itself...LOL! The scenes were hot. Some of my favorites ever. My favorite in the book, would have to be the scene in "The Confrontation". After that chapter, he damn near, had me saying, "It's yours."
