"A Wedding Affair" by Isabella Rae (BLOG TOUR STOP/REVIEW)

Title: A Wedding Affair
Author: Isabella Rae
Release Date: April, 2014
Genre: Contemporary Romance

When Nick McCoy first met Piper, he was lost and nursing a broken heart; so when she offers him a no-strings attached relationship, he is eager to accept. What he first thinks of as good arrangement, turns into something so much bigger. Something that could change his life forever.

For Piper love doesn't exist. She spends her time running her business and only entering into casual relationships. She never stays with one man long, and so far that has worked for her. When Nick comes along, he shows her something different; he shows her that things can't always be simple. And maybe, just maybe, love does exist after all.

***** I WAS PROVIDED AN ARC, IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW *****
"A Wedding Affair" is book 3 of Isabella Rae's ATLANTA AFFAIR SERIES, but is a stand alone novel. It is the story of Nick and Piper, who are acquaintances who share close and common friendships. Both are broken and have a story to tell. One is looking for love, while the other runs from it. But sexual tension and casual sex erupt into feelings, amongst other things, both let fear and stubbornness get in the way of love. After their friends suffer a tragic loss, the realization that life is too short, and regret is an emotion that no one wants to live with, especially when it comes to love.

I enjoyed this book and the emotional roller coaster it took me on. There were moments of laughter, and moments of tears. Maybe because, these characters are real and relatable. Their fears, emotions, and situations are ones that we've either had ourselves or know someone who's experienced them. I cried for Sage and her loss. I also shed tears for Piper when realizing why she ran from Nick and put up such a wall. I love the friendships in this book. The bonds are amazing and you can feel that this is a group of friends that truly love and appreciate each other.

I have never read books one or two, but I see they are about the relationships of Victoria and Leland and Sage and Conner. As, I mentioned, this is a standalone novel, but I do intend on reading the other books. Isabella does a great job, with mentioning the other characters, just enough to evoke interest in the other books.

I love a romantic story with a happy ending. ***** 5 STARS *****
